It may be true that the cost of living in COsta Rica is more expensive as compare to their neighbors, but this is because it has achieved some of level of development and security that cannot be matched by its neighbors. Despite that, this does not remove the fact that Costa Rica is still cheaper than living in nations in North America or Western Europe. It never is.
