Costa Rica is really more than just the beaches and the Hollywood stars playing in them.
Now, the country's teak plantations are marketed to Irish, French, and Dutch customers for purchase. The idea is to let the teak trees mature over a ten-year period, sell the timber, replant the land, and develop homes.
Now this is a new dimension to Costa Rican tourism altogether.
