Almost any country where it is desirable to live is up against a flood of new immigrants desirous to live and work there. Then we have the retirees, who used to flood Florida and other states, but, due to the arrival of the global "village", have also been looking at "off shore" solutions. And many countries are raising the requirements for settling within its frontiers. Take Costa Rica, for instance! Beginning in February of 2010, everything will be increased and the minimum joint income for a couple will be $2,500.00
