Cellular Competition, Quetzels, Tours, Fishing and Stem Cell Therapy

By Twitman at 02/09/10 13:46

What's happening in Costa Rica though the eyes of twitter, and the minds of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

  1. In Search of Quetzal
RT @kingmedicine: Most Beautiful of Birds - Costa Rica's Quetzal - (via @EcoInteractive) saw two quetzals last week (@Invest_James)

Tweedle Dee says: I guess in an article about Quetzels in Costa Rica I wouldn't wait to the last paragraph to mention Costa Rica!

Tweedle Dum says: This is an amazing article about an animal I never even know existed. Great pictures!

  1. YouTube - Charter Boat Fishing in Costa Rica
Charter Boat Fishing in Costa Rica... (@VTGservices)

Tweedle Dee says: They say "it's not fishing, it's catching"... doesn't that eliminate the beauty of "fishing" ... enjoying the peace and quiet of nature for an extended period of time?

Tweedle Dum says: I wish I was fishing in Costa Rica instead of looking out the window at snow...but all the poor fishes. Seems such a waste

  2. Boy’s Paralysis Leads San Tan Family To Costa Rica
Boy's Paralysis Leads San Tan Family To Costa Rica (@MrCostaRica)

Tweedle Dee says: I would like to see a lot more information about the stem cell therapies in Costa Rica and their successes (or failures) and less about the troubles this family has in the USA.

Tweedle Dum says: It is a shame to read this kind of story. The family is forever affected while the dumb ass who ran the red light goes on with her life. Yeah that's fair. Also, it is such a great story that the operation is not available in the US. Seems like such a good time to hear the story of why Bush nixed stem cell research.

  3. CR Referrals - Vacation_Package46
Check Out our Costa Rica --- Flexi Package - 8days/7nights with 4x4 rental and hotels starting at $510.!!!!!- (@C_R_REFERRALS)

Tweedle Dee says: "Explore on your own! You go as you please"... so why pay $510?

Tweedle Dum says: I am not sure I would just pay out $510 bucks and hope that all goes well when you get there

  4. Costa Rica cell phone market opening delayed again
Costa Rica cell phone market opening delayed again: By Adam Williams Just when it seemed Costa Rica's cell phone m... (@cellmrktr4u)

Tweedle Dee says: So much for an open telecommunications market... though officially opened on Jan 1, 2009, it seems the cell phone market actually being open to competition has been delayed again!

This time the delay is for greater "transparency" in the frequency allocations. Regardless of the reason it helps keep the citizens of Costa Rica in the technological dark ages!

Tweedle Dum says: This is exactly the reason I wrote my first review the way I did. Costa Rica is notorious for promising and not delivering. They can't even get the internet service right, let alone cell phones!
