Within the proper limits of the city of San Jose, Costa Rica's most affluent families do not even reside. This comes as no surprise when one analyzes the scenario.
Though it may be the country's capital city, San Jose is mainly around simply in order to function as the country's center of commerce, of culture, as well as of government services.
To work, to shop, as well as to proceed to government agencies, are of the main reasons of the affluent class being found in this particular area.
