Real Estate, Snakes and Driving

By Twitman at 02/04/10 20:27

Here is a brilliant idea... enjoy the snakes but forget about buying real estate or renting/drive a car in Costa Rica.

  1. The Snakes of Costa Rica
RT @Eco_Costa_Rica The Snakes of Costa Rica (@Eco_Adventures)

Tweedle Dee says: Poisonous snakes... that is what the tour guides near Arenal Volcano used to try and scare us into a tour rather than entering the park by ourselves.

    Didn't see any snakes.

Tweedle Dum says: Nice colorful pictures. I like learning about animals of the world

  1. Caroline McCarthy's Presence Angers The Earth Gods;  get off my internets
Caroline McCarthy's Presence Angers The Earth Gods « get off my ...: OMGBEARS McCarthy is in Costa Rica with frien... (@ArenalVolcano)

Tweedle Dee says: A really stupid article... probably because it has no context so I haven't a clue what Bears or McCarthy's are! I also don't understand why volcanoes would be (or could be) angry. They are just volcanoes and unlike you and I have no need to be angry.

Tweedle Dum says: Learn English. Take a creative writing course. Something. You suck

  2. Inside Costa Rica - Costa Rica's Daily News
Thrill Ride In The Rainforest Of Costa Rica Has A Painful End (@cr_realestate)

Tweedle Dee says: Human error results in "nine fractured ribs and a punctured lung, four weeks in hospitals plus a lengthy recovery process" to one zip line rider... now that is not my idea of a good time.

Tweedle Dum says: I am not sure who is more stupid here...the 83 year old person going on a zip line tour or the idiots running the show who had nobody to catch them at the platform! Can you say, sue for all they're worth?

  3. Discovering Costa Rica;  Still Unchartered for Many | Costa Rica Properties by David Karr
Discovering Costa Rica – Still Unchartered for Many: By now most people have probably… (@dealfinderincr)

Tweedle Dee says: I guess rule #1 in selling real estate would be if you are going to write an interesting article (I have no idea if this one is) you should publish it in a readable size font. Sorry, Caldwell Banker, I'm not going to go out of my way when you are the ones that should be doing the "selling".

Tweedle Dum says: I guess this is an ok page. Not very interesting and I am not sure the links on the right invite much looking around

Renting a car in Costa Rica? Here's some good tips: (@EOTWWphoto)

Tweedle Dee says: Seems to be an indepth article, but I don't understand somethings: "Once you’re comfortable with the roads, you’ve got to get a vehicle." I think you need a vehicle BEFORE you can get comfortable wit the road... and then you still might never be comfortable!

"When making the reservation be sure you know what your insurance covers (be aware of the contract’s clauses) and how much it costs." Good advice, but probably for all practical purposes impossible. Can you understand a English car rental agreement, much less a Spanish one?

Tweedle Dum says: Here are some good tips if you are looking to rent a car on your vacation in Costa Rica. To say the local driving habits are different, that is the understatement of a lifetime!
