Just because most of the American retiring population go to Latin America does not mean that Latin America is not for you. To be specific, not because most retirees go to Costa Rica does not mean it is the best place for you to stay in as everyone has it own set of requirements.
Do read these articles from Explore Costa Rica. Read the ways there and determine if this is the country for you and your family to be in.
