Many expats have been going out of Costa Rica because of the alleged rising cost of living. While this may be true, the cost of living here is still way cheaper than that in the United States. It's a matter of lifestyle, actually. Live luxuriously and do not monitor your bills, and, most likely, you'll spend like how you did when you had been in the States.
